Advancing neurosurgery access and outcomes for nerve injuries

Yamaan Saadeh's global work focuses on improving access to and the provision of subspecialty neurosurgery care for birth-related brachial plexus injuries and traumatic nerve injuries in the United States, and the Palestinian Territories in the West Bank and Gaza. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of empowering women and strengthening health systems. Saadeh's research centers on enhancing outcomes from peripheral nerve and spine surgery, surgical education, and the development of new surgical technologies. He particularly emphasizes studying nerve transfers to treat neurological injuries such as brachial plexus and spinal cord injuries.
