Strengthening health systems for Cardio-Metabolic Disease Management
Gershim Asiki's global health work focuses on cardio-metabolic disease epidemiology and health system strengthening in low-resource settings, drawing on his extensive background in medicine and specialized expertise in applied epidemiology and implementation research, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening systems for health and employing technical solutions. Asiki's research involves collaborating with stakeholders, including policymakers and practitioners, to co-design, co-implement, and evaluate health system interventions for low-resource communities.
