Children’s environmental health, toxicant exposures, life course interventions
Olivia Halabicky's global work focuses on toxicants and other co-exposures (e.g., adversity, nutrition) at sensitive periods that shape neurodevelopment, physiological stress, and cardiometabolic health across the life course. Her interest in global health equity aligns with the Center’s themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Halabicky's research as a children's environmental health nurse scientist utilizes methods from nursing, environmental and social epidemiology, and developmental sciences to develop family and community-level interventions that promote children's health after harmful toxicant exposure.
