Tessa Adzemovic’s global work focuses on neurocognitive outcomes of patients with cryptococcal meningitis. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. As part of her work as an NIH-Fogarty Fellow, Adzemovic is working on a randomized controlled trial that seeks to understand neurocognitive outcomes in subjects being treated for cryptococcal meningitis with oral amphotericin in comparison to IV amphotericin in Mulago and Kirrudu hospitals in Kampala, Uganda. She has also spent time working in Indonesia, Rwanda, and India.
