Pharmaceutics, endangered species, One Health
Timothy Cernak's global work explores the application of modern pharmaceutical tactics to endangered species. The Cernak lab uses AI strategies to accelerate the invention of medicines, making them more available to all. His research interests in health equity align with the Center’s themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health, developing technical solutions, and strengthening systems for health. Cernak also aims to illuminate various inequities in One Health, such as the role of endangered trees in coolscaping buildings and veterinary medicine for zoos and conservation centers.
