Healthcare delivery and increasing surgical capacity

David Brown’s global work focuses on developing surgical skills for sustainable delivery of complex care for patients in a developing context. His interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of empowering women and communities, strengthening systems for health, and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. He has worked extensively with the University of Michigan’s partnership in Ghana to increase capacity among surgeons to enhance healthcare delivery.
