Usable data systems and ethical representations in data

Hosagrahar Jagadish’s global work focuses on the ethics of data science inventions and issues of representation, diversity, and fairness in data. His interest in global health equity aligns with the Center’s themes of designing technical solutions for health equity. Jagadish’s research examines the creation of user-friendly database systems and query models, and how to design analytics processes that provide valuable insights to non-technical decision-makers and benefit society.
