Melvin Obadha is an Impact Scholar with the Center. His global work focuses on health economics, health policy, and health systems, with interests in health and economic impacts of climate change, pandemic preparedness and response, priority setting, health financing, health workforce, digital health, and snakebite envenoming. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems to improve health and health equity, informing policy and programming related to the social determinants of health, and addressing environmental justice and climate vulnerability. Obadha's research focuses on understanding how the health of pastoralists in dryland parts of Kenya is changing under climate change regimes.
