Machine learning and causal inference in public health and behavior science

Rahul Ladhania’s global health work focuses on the use of digital tools—mobile games, text-message nudges, and so on—for enabling behavior change in domains as diverse as vaccine uptake to healthy habit formation in school children. His interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of strengthening systems for health and providing technical solutions. His primary research interests are in adapting machine learning methods for estimating effects and learning personalized treatment rules for health policy and behavioral health interventions and the development and use of eHealth and telehealth systems in delivering care.
