The annual Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) conference kicks off next week and highlights many University of Michigan projects.
Among this year's presenters are more than 30 researchers from across the University.
The world’s largest academic global health conference, CUGH 2022 will feature 16 poster presentations with one or more University of Michigan authors—32 in all, representing 8 different schools, colleges, centers, and institutes.
CUGH runs March 28 thru April 1 and registration is still open. The virtual format, which includes the expansive poster session, means that attendees can access participants’ recorded presentations at any time.
University of Michigan authors represent the School of Public Health, School of Nursing, Medical School, and more with collaborators from across the US and around the world. Study subjects include research capacity strengthening in Ethiopia, maternal mortality in northern Ghana, sustainable palm weevil farming in Liberia, COVID-19’s impact on global health education programs, and more.
“I’m pleased as always to see the University of Michigan so well represented at this year’s conference. The breadth and depth of featured projects speaks to the strength of our global health community," said Joseph Kolars, director of the Center for Global Health Equity and senior associate dean for Education and Global Initiatives in the Medical School. "CUGH is a great showcase for these efforts and a good opportunity for participants to expand their own networks.”
