Kristine Ajrouch, PhD

Dementia prevention, healthy aging, reducing health disparities

Kristine Ajrouch’s global health focus centers on reducing dementia risk by promoting brain-healthy lifestyles and early detection, increasing knowledge and awareness to reduce stigma, and improving access to care worldwide. Her approach emphasizes prevention, education, and equity in addressing the growing impact of dementia across diverse populations. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of empowering women, strengthening systems for health, and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Ajrouch’s research focuses on aging, social relations, and health disparities, examining how these factors contribute to global health equity and the experience of dementia.
