Joshua Ehrlich, MD, MPH

Epidemiology of Global Aging and Sensory Health

Josh Ehrlich, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Medical School and a Research Associate Professor at the Survey Research Center within the Institute for Social Research. He serves as Associate Director for the Data Collaborative at the Center for Global Health Equity. 

Josh Ehrlich's global work focuses on the impact of declines in sensory health and their impact on later-life wellbeing, in addition to leading large-scale data collection projects in Kenya, India, and the US. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and providing technical solutions. Josh Ehrlich's research aims to translate population health data into actionable clinical, public health, and policy insights that promote healthy, independent, and equitable aging. In addition to leading large scale data collection projects in Kenya, India, and the US, Josh's work focuses on the impact of declines in sensory health and their impact on later-life wellbeing. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and providing technical solutions. Josh also leads the CGHE Data Collaborative, which is focused on enabling data-driven solutions to promote equitable access to health for all.
