Kenneth (Ken) Langa, MD, PhD

Cognitive decline and dementia among older adults

Kenneth Langa’s global work focuses on risk factors associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. His interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health and developing technical solutions. Langa is the Associate Director for the Health and Retirement Study, a longitudinal study that has partner studies in more than 30 other countries around the world. His work examines the relationship between cardiovascular risk factors and cognitive decline and dementia in middle-aged and older adults.
