Lindsay Kobayashi, PhD, MS, is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and an Associate Professor of Global Public Health at the School of Public Health, and a Faculty Associate at the Survey Research Center within the Institute for Social Research. She serves as Associate Director for Research Strategy at the Center for Global Health Equity.

Lindsay Kobayashi’s global work focuses on aging and older populations using longitudinal studies and social epidemiological approaches. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center's theme of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Kobayashi’s research aims to inform policy solutions to improve cognitive health and health equity among low-income older populations. Her work examines how social and economic factors during the life-course influence cognitive health and brain aging. She is also the Co-Director of the NIA-funded Harmonized Cognitive Assessment Protocol (HCAP) Network, which is an ongoing international research collaboration to measure and understand dementia risk within ongoing longitudinal studies of aging around the world.
