Health disparities in vaccine preventable diseases

Matthew Boulton’s global work focuses on the social determinants of childhood immunization and global vaccination equity. His research interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of strengthening systems for health and creating technical solutions. His research focuses on access to childhood immunizations and other key preventive services in under-served, minority, immigrant, and displaced populations in low and middle-income countries. Boulton also works to strengthen public health infrastructure in these countries through the provision of training to international partners and by assisting them with enhancing epidemiology and laboratory capacity using information system data and systems development.
