Social and structural determinants of health and mortality
Emily Treleaven’s global work focuses on identifying and addressing structural and social determinants of child health, and the measurement of health and mortality among newborns, infants, and children under 5. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of empowering women and communities, strengthening systems of health, and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Treleaven’s research aims to increase utilization of timely, quality healthcare, especially for vulnerable populations, and reduce health disparities in early childhood.
