Disparities in vaccination, with a particular focus on vaccine hesitancy
Abram Wagner’s global work focuses on studying disparities in vaccination and how vaccine hesitancy and unequal access to vaccination impacts the distribution of vaccine-preventable diseases. His interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Wagner’s research is targeted specifically toward evidence-based programs and policies that work toward the control of a broad range of vaccine-preventable diseases in various areas of East Asia. The long term goal of his research agenda is to characterize the pathways between public health messaging and the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases.
