Brandon Finn, PhD
Brandon Finn's global work focuses on the socio-economic impacts of informal urbanization, with an interest in air pollution exposure in informal settlements in Sub-Saharan Africa. Brandon's interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health and strengthening systems for health. Finn’s research aims to develop new methodologies to study air pollution and settlement growth in rapidly urbanizing Africa. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, he examines the socio-economic dynamics of artisanal and industrial mining practices, while in Ghana, he assesses informal electronic waste management. He also looks at mining supply chains central to global decarbonization efforts.
