Amy Buckenmeyer's global work focuses on strengthening communities through community-based participatory research and community capacity building. Her research interests in health equity align with the Center’s themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and strengthening systems for health. Through an innovative, integrated theoretical and methodological approach to community health needs assessments, Amy's research seeks to mitigate upstream determinants of health to improve global health equity.
