Cheryl Moyer, PhD, MPH

Maternal and newborn health outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa

Cheryl Moyer, PhD, MPH, is Associate Chair and Professor in the Department of Learning Health Sciences at the Medical School, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical School, and Professor of Health Management and Policy at the School of Public Health. She serves as Associate Director for Education and Mentoring at the Center for Global Health Equity. 

Cheryl Moyer’s global work focuses on social and cultural factors that impact maternal, newborn, infant, and child morbidity and mortality in low-resource settings. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of empowering women and communities, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and providing technical solutions. Moyer's research explores factors associated with health service utilization among newborns and women in sub-Saharan Africa.
