Candace Kolars, PhD, MPH

Maternal and child health, quality of care, health outcomes

Candace Kolars’ global work looks at maternal and child health with a focus on improving the quality of care, health outcomes, access to maternal and child healthcare, and skilled childbirth services. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health and developing technical solutions for health equity. Kolars has participated in multiple research projects exploring childbearing outcomes and strengthening health systems in rural Uganda.
