Courtney Streur, MD

Personalized urologic care, spina bifida, physical disabilities, and transition to adulthood
Courtney Streur’s global work focuses on advancing medical and surgical training for treating children with congenital urologic conditions and enhancing personalized urologic care for people with spina bifida and other physical disabilities. She is also interested in improving disability-specific adolescent wellness and sexual health education. Her interest in global health equity aligns with the Center’s themes of empowering women and communities and strengthening systems for health. Streur serves as a faculty investigator with the University of Michigan’s Child Health Evaluation and Research Center (CHEAR), where she works to improve the transition to adulthood for adolescents with physical disabilities.
