Mental health and sexual health disparities, police contact risk, HIV, multidisciplinary research teams
Camille R. Quinn's global work focuses on health and mental health disparities impacting women and girls. Quinn's research interests in health equity align with the Center’s theme of empowering women. Quinn is a former LEAD scholar, where they conducted research on depression among youth living with HIV in Kampala, Uganda. Developing hands-on experiences needed to lead multidisciplinary research teams is a fundamental aspect of Quinn's future research approach. This commitment is leading to the launch of an exploratory mixed-method pilot study with local providers working with African and Indian immigrants in Detroit and Ann Arbor to understand their risk for police contact.
