David (Dave) Ripin, PhD
Prevention and treatment of infectious diseases
David Ripin’s global work focuses on access to best-in-class prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases in the context of a comprehensive healthcare system. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of empowering women and communities, strengthening systems for health, and providing technical solutions. He serves as executive vice president of Infectious Diseases and chief science officer at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). In these roles, he oversees CHAI’s work on increasing access to medicines and diagnostics for diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria through the use of sustainable market interventions.
