Dee Fenner, MD

Dee Fenner’s global work focuses on maternal health outcomes and family planning. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of empowering women and communities, strengthening systems of health, and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Fenner’s research focuses specifically on female pelvic floor dysfunction and medical education in order to understand how birth injuries impact pelvic floor disorders. She is an expert in defecation disorders, surgical education, and reconstructive surgery. As gynecology department chair, Fenner works to facilitate global health programming and aims to continue educational program partnerships throughout Africa to build local capacity.
