Surgical care access and education for healthcare providers

Egide Abahuje's global work focuses on improving access to safe surgical care by employing educational interventions to train healthcare providers in medical knowledge and crucial non-technical skills. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening health systems and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Abahuje's research explores the effectiveness of simulation-based educational interventions in enhancing both technical and non-technical skills among healthcare providers to improve surgical care outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa.
