Healthcare access and delivery in developing countries

Elisa Maffioli’s global work focuses on improving access to healthcare in low income countries through both demand and supply interventions to reduce inequalities between rich and poor countries and the rich and poor within countries. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of strengthening systems for health, empowering women and communities, and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Maffioli’s research examines maternal and child health, nutrition, and infectious diseases in low-and middle-income countries.
