Itziar Familiar-Lopez’s global work addresses depression and anxiety in conflict-affected settings and among HIV-affected women, aiming to improve mental well-being in these vulnerable populations. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of empowering women and social and environmental determinants of health. Itziar Familiar-Lopez’s research focuses on assessing global mental health issues, particularly evaluating depression and anxiety among adults in conflict-affected settings, among HIV-affected women, and monitoring mental health interventions alongside child development outcomes.
