Molecular and cellular mechanisms in immune function

Cheong-Hee Chang’s global work focuses on investigating molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in immune function. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Chang's research examines how antioxidant pathways regulate T cell survival and effector function and how the difference in T cell metabolism influences inflammatory responses. Chang has extensive experience training students and instructors, especially focusing on research activities, at the university level in low resource settings.
