Human and environmental interactions, particularly the emergence of pathogens

Johannes Foufopoulos’s global work focuses broadly on the relationships between environmental health and human health, specifically in the Mediterranean Basin and Sub-Saharan Africa. His interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Foufopoulos’s research examines environmental and ecological determinants of emerging pathogens and their impacts both on humans and wildlife populations.
