
Diana Mbatudde, MS
Diana Mbatudde’s global work focuses on improving health care access and health systems in low-resource settings. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s theme of strengthening systems for health. Mbatudde’s research interests span non-communicable diseases, injury and trauma, as well as nursing education and administration, policy, and practice. Her current interest is in improving emergency care access in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. Mbatudde was a University of Michigan African Presidential Scholar (UMAPS), where she tested a model for improving access and availability of basic emergency and critical care services for patients with acute life-threatening illnesses at lower and middle-level health facilities in Uganda.
