Alan Sugar, MD, MS

Alan Sugar’s global work focuses on corneal transplantation and eye baking, including trends in corneal transplantation and utilization parameters for eye banking and their effects on tissue cost and availability. His interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Sugar is on the steering committee of the Corneal Donor Study, a long-term national collaborative study evaluating the role of corneal donor characteristics and the outcomes of corneal transplants.
