Climate change, mental health and injury

Peter Larson's global work focuses on the impacts of extreme heat and air pollution on health, particularly concerning injury and mental health in Sub-Saharan Africa. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Larson's research addresses how climate change impacts health through extreme weather events, shifting weather patterns, and air pollution, emphasizing the understudied outcomes of mental health and injury among marginalized and disempowered populations worldwide.
