she/her/hers
Global social work, health education, mental health, refugee and migrant health

Ashley Cureton engages in global work with refugee populations in contexts such as Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and India. Her research interests in health equity align with the Center's themes of health education among refugee women and girls, as well as a focus on social and environmental determinants of health. Through her research, Cureton collaborates with domestic and international educational institutions and community-based organizations to develop culturally-responsive behavioral health interventions and resources to support the educational and mental health needs of refugees and forced migrants.
