Brad Carlson, MPH

Data science, disease surveillance, immunization, and vaccine equity

Brad Carlson’s global work focuses on immunizations and improving vaccine uptake, managing infectious disease research projects in China, India, Ethiopia, and Kenya. Brad’s interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening systems for health and developing technical solutions for health equity. He has also worked with research partners focused on the epidemiologic features and transmission of influenza in Nicaragua and has coordinated research projects with Tianjin CDC in Tianjin, China, and the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. In these roles, Carlson partners with faculty and manages all aspects of study development, training, and document preparation including onsite monitoring, regulatory files, IRB, quality assurance, data management, grant applications, and publications.
