Injury prevention, violence, research capacity training
Douglas Wiebe's global work focuses on prevention of primary, secondary, and tertiary injuries and violence in Botswana. His research interests in health equity align with the Center’s themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and strengthening systems for health. He has also served as the principal investigator (PI) of a D43 training program funded by the Fogarty International Center at NIH to build research capacity in Botswana.
