Empowering Youth and Violence Prevention

Katie Edwards's global work focuses on program development and evaluation for structurally minoritized youth and communities including program evaluation in online spaces. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of empowering women and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Edwards's research centers on preventing and responding to sexual and related forms of violence among structurally minoritized populations using community-based participatory methods. She helped establish the first Indigenous-led sexual violence prevention center and has experience conducting violence prevention research in sub-Saharan Africa including Kenya.
