Elizabeth Durham, PhD

Elizabeth Durham’s global work focuses on mental health and illness with a geographical focus on the Republic of Cameroon. Durham’s interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of empowering women and communities. She is a medical and political anthropologist whose research interests include the Global Mental Health campaign, psychopharmaceuticals, health justice, Pentecostalism, the politics of responsibility and of time, and the practice and ethics of social science research and collaboration in clinical and humanitarian settings. She holds a joint appointment as a Fellow at the Michigan Society of Fellows.
