Gurpreet Rana, MLIS

Global health initiatives

Gurpreet Rana’s global work involves establishing and leading the Taubman Health Sciences Libraries Global Health Program, which works toward eliminating health inequities through the power of information. Rana’s work includes advancing the role of the global health informationist in expanding research capacity, instructional integration across global health curricula and participation in global health and health equity research and clinical collaborations, expert searching of the global health literature, curation of global health data sources, and building and fostering relationships with international partners. In 2017, she received the Medical Library Association's T. Hodges International Service Award in recognition of her role in advancing the field of global health librarianship.
