HaEun Lee, PhD

Strengthening systems for healthier women and communities

HaEun Lee's global work focuses on improving the health and health equity of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) by empowering women as effectors of health for themselves, their families, and their communities. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening systems to improve health and health equity and empowering women as effectors of health for themselves, their families, and their communities. Her work looks at how to better involve women's partners, families, communities, systems, and structures to promote women's health and gender equity. Lee has worked in Uganda, Zambia, Liberia, and Nigeria, comparing quality, birth outcomes, and service utilization between health facilities.
