Management of pediatric surgical conditions and access to surgical care
Phillip Hsu's global health work focuses on improving the management of pediatric surgical conditions in Rwanda, a low- and middle-income country. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening systems for health and employing technical solutions. Hsu's research focuses on increasing access to surgical care in resource-limited settings through quality improvement and education. This includes training general practitioners in Rwanda to diagnose, stabilize, and safely transfer children with surgical emergencies and congenital conditions for surgical care.
