James (Jim) Woolliscroft, MD

James Woolliscroft’s global work focuses on medical education and educational outcomes assessment. His interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of strengthening systems for health. Woolliscroft is an internationally recognized medical educator whose leadership has led to multiple educational innovations including development of the school’s international academic program Global REACH and the nation’s first medical student clinical skills course using community facilities for the elderly as educational sites. He has also helped establish standards for education at a national level for graduate medical education and medical schools.
