John Ayanian, MD, MPP

Access to care, quality of care, and health outcomes

John Ayanian’s global health work focuses on healthcare access and quality of care to address non-communicable diseases. His interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of empowering women and communities, strengthening systems for health, and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. His research examines healthcare disparities associated with social determinants of health such as race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic factors in order to improve access and quality of care. Ayanian’s global efforts also take a health care policy focus and aim to reduce health disparities.
