Kathleen (Kate) Potempa, PhD, MS

Global research capacity building and population health
Kathleen Potempa’s global work focuses on non-communicable, chronic disease prevention and care in both healthy and impaired populations with an emphasis on aging populations. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of strengthening systems for health. Potempa trains post-doctoral fellows in Thailand focusing on non-communicable disease research. She has served on national and international expert panels and committees on research and was an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine.
