Evidence-based practices in hand and plastic surgery

Kevin Chung’s global health work focuses on structuring evidence-based practices for plastic surgery and hand surgery. His interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of strengthening systems for health and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Chung’s research projects use epidemiology studies and clinical trials to derive the best evidence to guide treatments. He developed the Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire, which is widely used in the US and around the world for measuring post-hand surgery outcomes.
