Larissa Larsen, PhD

Extreme heat, urban planning

Larissa Larsen's global work focuses on the urban environmental problems of extreme heat and urban heat islands, water pollution and infrastructure, and stormwater flooding. Her interest in global health equity aligns with the Center's theme of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. As an urban planner, Larsen is interested in using planning, design, and governance to improve residents' health and well-being.
