Lars Junghans, PhD

Lars Junghans's global work focuses on sustainable architectural design, especially as it pertains to thermal control across different climatic and ecological conditions. His research interests in health equity align with the Center's theme of social and environmental determinantes of health, including creative approaches to collaboration with the private sector. He utilizes interdisciplinary approaches to sustainable architectural design solutions to consider the economics, automation possibilities, and design for optimal building operation. Junghans is committed to improving thermal comfort in low-income housing in developing countries.
