
Laura Calamos, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, FHEA
Laura Calamos's global practice focuses on working with teams that endeavor to develop transdisciplinary collaboration in order to increase access to care, improve healthcare delivery, and integrate services across communities. As a family nurse practitioner experienced in providing community-oriented primary care, she has worked with patients and practitioners in various countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom. Her research interests in health equity align with the Center's themes of empowering women, strengthening systems for health, and social and environmental determinants of health. Her practice focus is on boundary-spanning, which includes using qualitative research methods to identify strengths in organizational behavior, workforce development, strategic communications, change management, and client-centered service delivery.
