Helena Legido-Quigley, PhD, MSc, BSc

Public health, migration and health, health systems, health policy

Helena Legido-Quigley is a member of the Center’s External Advisory Board. She is Chair in Health Systems Science at the George Institute for Global Health, UK and the School of Public Health, Imperial College London. She is also Associate Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore. Legido-Quigley’s global work focuses on health policy and health systems, migrant health, gender equality in science, global health governance, health systems resilience, chronic conditions, and antimicrobial resistance. She is committed to redistributing power in global health, and championing the next generation of global health researchers through mentorship and teaching.

Previously, Legido-Quigley held positions at the University of Manchester Institute for Development Policy and Management and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 2004, where she worked as a research fellow in the Department of Health Services. She currently serves as an associate fellow of Chatham House and is a member of the Council of the World Economic Forum.
