Health system and sustainable food systems planning

Lesli Hoey’s global work focuses on improving health equity through planning, with a particular focus on food systems. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of strengthening systems for health and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Hoey’s research focuses on enhancing health equity by improving health systems planning, implementation, and evaluation using a food systems and social determinants of health lens. Her work is comparative, primarily focused on health and food systems studies in Bolivia and Michigan.
